This will be a 3 and a half hour to 4 hour drive from the mountains of Lassen by Mt. Shasta and up Rte. 5 to Grants Pass, OR, within the valley of Oregon. We’ll be driving up plenty of steep climbs at the beginning of our trip but we should stabilize out towards the end.

We should get some good photos of Mt Shasta on the way. We’ll be staying at the full service county park, Schroeders.  We’ll be visiting with my brother, Richard, who lives in nearby Applegate.
