Williams is the gateway town to the Grand Canyon. We’ll be staying at the Grand Canyon Railway RV Resort. They also operate the hotel in town and the railroad that goes from Williams to the Grand Canyon every day. This is a short one and a half hour hop from Camp Verde, but it will be all uphill as we will be climbing more than 2,500 feet. We will be detaching the car and driving it separately as it is very taxing to drive the RRRV uphill with the tow. Gas mileage will pay off in this case.
