Actually, we will be staying in Virgin, Utah, named after the Virgin River which carved out Zion Canyon and many other canyons in Arizona and Nevada. It’s a 20 minute drive to the entrance of the park. By the way, this river empties into the Colorado River. Total driving time is about 5 hours and a trip total of 293 miles. We’ll be going through some really rugged and rural areas with mountainous terrain.
